Questions, answered

Is this a replacement for an accountant?+

No. FoundersLedger keeps your records straight day to day — DLA, dividends, statutory registers, bookkeeping — so filing season is a formality rather than a scramble. Most directors still use an accountant for annual accounts and corporation tax filing, and we're built to hand them clean books, not to replace them.

How is this different from QuickBooks or Xero?+

Those tools are built for accountants first. FoundersLedger is built for the director: it speaks in DLA balances and dividend vouchers, not just debits and credits, and covers statutory registers that general ledger software leaves out entirely.

Can my accountant or bookkeeper get access?+

Yes, on the Pro plan. Invite them with view or edit access, scoped to a single company, so they see exactly what they need and nothing more.

What happens after the 30-day trial?+

Nothing, unless you choose to subscribe. No card is needed to start the trial, and there's no auto-charge waiting at the end of it.

Is my data secure?+

Your records are encrypted in transit and at rest, and each company's data is fully isolated from every other. Only people you explicitly invite can ever see it.
